What We Do
Framed Earth was formed by Mike Murphy and Stephen Marck, both members of the RPS Landscape Group, with the intention of creating a platform for members to develop their skills and improve their landscape photography.
The group organises regular field trips, mostly one day events within easy travelling distance of our Essex base but the occasional longer trip to slightly more distant locations will also be considered at different times of the year.
In the field we will discuss image composition and creative camera technique and set ourselves challenges to explore new ideas and ways of capturing what we see before us.
After each event we will set a date for a follow up Zoom session, this we believe is vital to our development process. For example, each member will be encouraged to submit an image in turn and discuss how it was captured and the concept behind it followed by constructive critique from the rest of the group.
Other Zoom events may concentrate solely on post process techniques and look at how this can enhance mood and feeling in an image.
Through a combination of field and online discussion and sharing of information and ideas we feel Framed Earth is an exciting, creative and positive environment for landscape photographers looking for inspiration.
